Welcome to the September issue of eMetro!
Hotel of the month: Metro Hotel & Apartments Gladstone
Featuring this month is the beautiful, sunny region of Gladstone, Queensland - where our Metro Hotel and Apartments Gladstone and Apartments G60 are located. Both properties are perfect for short or long stays as they offer fully serviced apartments with fully self-contained laundry services. The hotel is located on top of a hill, which means many rooms have excellent harbour, city and hinterland views. The property also boasts an onsite restaurant called Rocksalt (popular with the locals), a swimming pool and barbeque area, plus undercover security parking. The fully serviced Apartments G60 Gladstone can also cater to extended stays of six months or more.
Welcome to Gladstone
Gladstone is blessed with 280 days of sunshine every year and balmy, subtropical climate. Running along the coast of this region is the heritage listed Southern Great Barrier Reef, where it is home to a mixture of fourteen breathtaking inhabited and uninhabited islands. Also located nearby are untouched National Parks, rugged headlands offering excellent lookouts, lakes with fantastic fishing spots, tranquil botanical gardens and golf courses.
Whether it's snorkelling with sea turtles, diving with graceful Manta rays, relaxing on secluded golden beaches, surfing Agnes Water waves, kayaking along the coastline, bushwalking through the region's pristine National Parks, having a sea/land adventure on the large amphibious craft or fishing giant Barramundis on Lake Awoonga, Gladstone has something for everyone in the family to enjoy!
Meet David:
The general manager of Metro Hotel & Apartments Gladstone is David Robinson, who has been offering great service and accommodation to guests for over ten years. His favourite Gladstone attraction is the Gladstone Entertainment Centre and Spinnaker Park (both located in Gladstone CBD).
Q: What activity would you recommend to guests coming to Gladstone?
A: Do an industry tour. Very few towns offer the opportunity to see large industry at work or a working port. Regular feedback from guests of both genders and a variety of ages is how interesting it is!
Coming to Sydney for a show or sports event? We've got you and your family or group of friends covered - whether it's the Bledisloe Cup, V8 Supercars Motorsport , WWE Live, Disney’s The Lion King or Strictly Ballroom. Ask us if your preferred Metro Hotels accommodation has on-site parking and if not, we have overnight parking stations nearby with reduced rates when staying with us and most of our hotels and apartments are conveniently located close to public transport.
